Mexico is a reknown destination for dental care, known for its cost savings opportunities and close proximity to the U.S. (Flights from Houston, TX and Dallas, TX are 1.5 hours). Monterrey, the capital of the state of Nuevo Leon,  has state of the art technology facilities, world known academic institutions (Tecnologico de Monterrey- TEC, Universidad de Nuevo Leon) and highly qualified professionals that attend training in Mexico and the U.S.

What are the professionals’ credentials and board memberships?

Imagen Dental’s  medical staff have studied at top universities in Mexico and abroad, such as the University of Nuevo Leon and the Technological University of Mexico. Most specialists have done fellowships and attended training at Baylor University in Texas and Loma Linda University in California, USA.

Most members of the medical staff are members of the Dentistry and Specialty associations in Monterrey, Mexico and of international associations, such as the International Association of Oral and Maxilofacial Surgery.

What will be the services provided by the Personal Care Coordinator?

A

The Personal Care Coordinator (PCC) will be your point of contact before and during your visit to Monterrey. The PCC will help you set up your appointment and give you an estimate  of the length and cost of the procedure. The PCC can also help you to purchase your airline ticket and make a hotel reservation. The PCC will greet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel, and then drive you to your dental appointments. The PCC will also be able to recommend you the various turist attractions in Monterrey. At the end of your stay the PCC will drive you to the airport.

   
Q What are the tourist attractions in Monterrey?
A

Monterrey is an important industrial and business center, and is often rated the most modern and most secure city in Mexico. Monterrey is a unique and culturally diverse city with multiple tourist attractions. Monterrey is located in north central Mexico surrounded by imposing mountains.  The surrounding area offer gorgeous natural scenery at Cola de Caballo Ecological Park (Horsetail Falls), Grutas de Garcia (Garcia Grottoes) with milenary formations, Presa Rodrigo Gomez- La Boca (“La Boca” Dam), Chipinque de Monterrey National Park and Matacanes (a canyon with crystal clear water set deep in the beautiful Sierra de Santiago). All these beautiful natural attractions are within a 40 minute car ride from Monterrey. They offer many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and rappel.

In the center of Monterrey is Barrio Antiguo (Old Town), a picturesque and bohemian center that offers art galleries, cafes, book shops and restaurants. Adjoining Barrio Antiguo is the Macroplaza (Grand Plaza), rated by some as the largest plaza in Latin America. A few of the tourist attractions in the plaza are the Metropolitan Cathedral, the old Federal Place, The Museum of the NorthEast (MUNE), the Mexican History Museum and the Monterrey Contemporary Art Museum.

Next to the Grand Plaza is the Paseo Santa Lucia (Santa Lucia Canalwalk), a mile and a walf of waterway that connects the Grand Plaza with the Parque Fundidora (Foundry Park), that can be traveled by foot or by boat. Parque Fundidora is a large urban industrial park that contains the main elements of the first steel plant, 114 hectares of natural ambiance, artificial lakes, playgrounds and a Center of the Arts, that includes a cinema, Photo Collection exhibits and the State Plastic Arts Collection exhibits.

Farther to the south is San Pedro Garza Garcia, one of the most affluent neighborhouds in Latin America where Imagen Dental’s clinic Valle is located (the clinic where international patients are treated). San Pedro Garza Garcia offers parks, gardened boulevards, shopping malls and restaurants. In San Pedro is the Centrito, an area with traditional restaurants (“taquerias”) and nightclubs. Chipinque de Monterrey National Park is located in San Pedro, a beautiful forested area of oak and oak-pine mainly that provides nice scenic views of the city.
